Gastronomy
Casariche enjoys a good reputation in terms of gastronomy. Among the most typical dishes of Casariche, we can find its “naranjas picás” (oranges) with cod, its cod onion and its “maimones”.
The most typical sweets are the “ajuelas”, as well as its “Roscos de Semana Santa”.
In a town with a great olive-growing tradition, olive oil is an essential ingredient in Casariche’s recipes, as are its “aceitunas aliñadas” (seasoned olives).
Sausages and pork meats, “migas” (fried breadcrumbs) and the traditional “salmorejo” or “porra” play no lesser role.
